A Machine that Sorts Recycled Bottles
This is the entire design and manufacturing team for the Recycled Bottle Sorter. I was happy to be a part of the manufacturing team of four.

As part of a team of 11, I developed a prototype for a machine that sorts different types of recycled bottles. I am excited to say that our prototype worked! I was part of the manufacturing sub team.

Control System Projects
There were a number of projects assigned in my Controls class. Here are two of them: the first is a "bang-bang" class A amplifier circuit regulating the temperature in a chamber. The second is developing a control system for an inverse pendulum. Click the PDF button to read the latter's report.
This Arduino code is for a "Bang Bang" control system meant to keep the temperature within a 3D printed chamber close to 80 degrees F. It does this by measuring the temperature with a thermistor and turning heating coils on and off.

I love engineering for the theatre! Storytelling using technical skills is an incredible art form. It's always so exciting knowing that what you create will be enjoyed by a large group of people.
Study Abroad
During the summer of 2017, I was fortunate to study abroad in Germany for five weeks. I took Fluid Mechanics in Germany while staying in the Black Forest town of Furtwangen. During the trip, I got to see the Rhine River; Munich, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; visit the Europa Theme Park; and much more!
This was a fantastic opportunity for me to apply the communication skills I learned through my Honors Interdisciplinary Studies minor. Cross-cultural communication was crucial here.
