Redesign of the Primary
In a team of four, I analyzed the performance of a Baja vehicle CVT and developed a new primary that increased the performance of the car.

Lys:
A Northern Lights Theme Park
As a club project, a small team and I developed concept art for a hypothetical theme park in Bodo, Norway. The team of engineers and artists developed the idea from the Blue Sky stage to the concept stage.

The Battle of Yavin:
A Star Wars Themed Roller Coaster
This is a Star Wars themed roller coaster designed completely from scratch. It was created using Nolimits Roller Coaster Simulation and Final Cut Pro; complete with special effects, CGI and amazing sound effects.

Solidworks Model:
A Roller Coaster Wheel Assembly
This 3D model was created in Solidworks, complete with side friction, upstop, and road wheels. Each part was made from scratch and then assembled within the program.

Robolink Inc.
Cubeworks Instruction Manuals

This is an instruction manual for one of Robolink's technology products. I created the manual from scratch for the company as part of an internship. This involved modeling the pieces, as well as designing the graphics.

Airplane Accessory Drive: Gear Train Analysis
I, along with a team of seven, designed and analyzed a gear train for an airplane. Read the final report by clicking the PDF button.

Part of the design process was to design lugs that would support the gear train housing. Here is one of the lugs.

Beachside Studio
Live Interior 3D
Inspired by a dilapidated building by the beach, this interior design project is a personal dream renovation. This one bedroom, open concept studio is meant to capture the beauty and simplicity of the beach. Created in Live Interior 3D.

3D Printed, Concentration and Arduino Controlled Hand
A 3D printed, concentration controlled prosthetic hand. When the user concentrates, servos open and close the hand! Click the pictures to learn more.

This prosthetic hand is 3D printed and designed by the ASME student design team. Servos within the hand are connected to an Arduino, which is connected to a "concentration sensor." This sensor is connected to the user's head and measures wave differences from the brain. When the user concentrates, the servos open and close the hand.

The ASME project team built a 3D printed prosthetic hand that opens and closes when the user concentrates. Here, a little girl at a festival tries to move the hand with her mind! The sensor on her head measures certain waves from the brain and sends that data wirelessly to an Arduino micro controller. The Arduino then tells servos within the hand to move.

Arduino Candle
This is a simulated candle meant for a birthday cake prop for the theatre. A yellow light flickers at random like a flame, and then goes out when it is blown (or when someone gets close). I developed the code and the electronics for the prop.
Custom K'nex Computer
I wanted a new computer, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on one. This promted me making my own. This, of course, had to be done with style, hence the K'nex. Click the images to learn more about the process.

I learned so much about computers while building my first PC. I bought all of the components and learned how they pieced together to create a computer.

Along the way, there were many problems that arose, such as wire management, SATA port problems, making sure the k'nex pieces supported all the necessary components without becoming too hot, and, funny enough, how to turn the computer on without an on button. In the end, every problem was overcome.

The empty case before the components were added. As I installed components, changes to the case had to be made, but that was part of the fun. In the future, I will absolutely build intriguing computers as a hobby.

Helped with the construction of scenery flats. In just 10 days, this is what we accomplished!
In January of 2018, I volunteered at California State University Stanislaus as a lighting and set construction assistant because I love to work in theatrical entertainment. It was a great way to practice what I study at SDSU.
One of my internship assignments was to 3D print models of Chicago landmarks. These models would be used for a coding competition that kids would participate in. Kids were tasked with programming little cars to drive around the model city and deliver pizza to specific points.
